grow in love.

ephesians 4:14-16 (the message)

...no prolonged infancies among us, please. We'll not tolerate babes in the woods, small children who are an easy mark for impostors. God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love—like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love."

my favorite time of year.

fall in arkansas.

it's fall (my favorite time of year) and i was back in arkansas this past weekend with family. jon brooks, alex grace, my dad, and i all spent our day saturday out in the woods 4 wheeler riding. jon brooks and my dad are getting ready for deer season. haha, i love to watch them get excited about it. jon brooks is only 5, and he calls me everyday counting down the days to opening, when he gets to sit on the deerstand with my dad.

even the best fall down sometimes.

people people, i have been laughing my head off at this video all day.

one of the greatest friends of all time.

this blog is dedicated to the greatest dog in the world, jack.

whoever came up with the saying that a dog is a man's best friend got it. this past week was one of the toughest weeks of my life. our family lost our little buddy, jack...he was 11 years old. saying he was a friend to us is an understatement. he was a gift from God to our family and saw us through some tough times.

he'll never be replaced and will always be with us in our hearts. he taught us alot about love, and i love you for that, jack. i miss you not being at the door when i come home and not being by my side when im out enjoying the weather on the porch. we loved doing that together.

your life was great and your life added so much to ours. though the pain of losing you is great, i wouldn't change a thing...i would do life with ya all over again in a heartbeat.

i love and miss you, buddy.
